The Chevrolet Equinox has quickly become one of the American automaker’s bestselling vehicles since its introduction. The popular SUV is a staple in Chevrolet’s lineup as the brand continues to revitalize each vehicle class. The automaker sees little need to revitalize the truck segment and the cars have already received a major update. Now the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will kick off the revitalization of the crossover and SUV segments.
“The all-new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is a modern SUV sized and designed to meet the needs of the compact SUV customer,” said Alan Batey, president of GM North America and brand chief, Global Chevrolet.
The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is scheduled to make its official public debut during the Los Angeles Auto Show. As it just so happens, we’re right in the middle of the show’s scheduled dates!
The new Chevrolet Equinox will bring three new engine choices. All four engines will be turbocharged four-cylinder models. One of the engines will take the form of a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine. The gasoline-powered engines will be mated to a new nine-speed automatic transmission.
Since launch, more than two million Equinoxes have been sold. That makes it the brand’s bestselling model behind the Chevrolet Silverado!
