At Crumback Chevy, we understand the value of family outings, so those of us with kids are always on the lookout for fun events and activities. So pile into a new car, spend some time out of the house this month and check out a few of these things to do in Fort Wayne with your family.

Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo

No summer is complete without a trip to the zoo. The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is made up of 42 acres and over 1,500 animals. It’s easy to spend an entire day exploring this zoo and learning about the different animals. If you want something more organized, you can sign up for the Me & You at the Zoo summer program, which guides small children and their parents in exploration of specific portions of the zoo.

Rivergreenway Trail

If your family is looking for an opportunity to get active, the Rivergreenway Trail is perfect. It runs along three rivers, St. Joseph, St. Marys and Maumee Rivers, and past 15 parks for a total of 25 miles of trail perfect for biking, skating, or walking.

Fort Wayne Museum of Art

Kids interested in art will enjoy visiting the city’s art museum, which offers free admission every Thursday from 5-8 pm. Spend the evening looking at the exhibitions and getting ideas for your own art projects at home.
